Top 6 Essential Oils for Anxiety Relief

A while ago, I had a mom reach out to me about Anxiety Reducing Oils for herself and her son. This sent me on some deep research to make sure I recommended oils that worked well for both adults and children. In this video I share the results I found, as well as some interesting info on oils for supporting those dealing with ADHD.

Here are the Top 6 Anxiety Support Oils:

  1. LAVENDER: Known as the swiss army knife of essential oils, this calming oil also helps you focus during the day and Calm gets you ready for sleep at night.

    A beautiful crystal to pair with Lavender is Amethyst. Add about 20 drops of Lavender to our Amethyst Roller Bottle, and apply after work in the evenings.

  2. PATCHOULI: This “Hippie Oil” reminds me of my first visit to Woodstock. Besides enjoying the strong, woods odor, you’ll get support for regulating production of serotonin (fight or flight reaction). Interesting note: Here is a link between gut and brain health…. Most of serotonin is produced in the gut, so if you have digestive issues, then it can also become a mental/emotional symptom as well because you aren’t producing enough serotonin.

    Place a drop of Patchouli on your belly and massage in (use up to a quarter size dollop of your favorite carrier oil). Place a Carnelian on your belly and take a 15 minute nap. Great for your stress levels and digestive health too!

  3. FRANKINCENSE: This sacred oil is a classic meditation tool. It’s grounding, calming, and fantastic for your brain. Rub in one drop at the base of your spine to help you to focus on one thing at a time. As you cut out the noise of everything else, it help you reduce anxiety/overwhelm coming from the external environment.

  1. CLARY SAGE*: Helps support balanced female hormones. Estrogen imbalances can have a ripple effect on your anxiety. Clary sage is great all month, and especially during times of menstrual discomfort. (Pair with Peach Moonstone for added female support and discomfort relief.)

  2. BERGAMOT: This Citrus oil brings happy, vivacious, and uplifting energy. It is well known for it’s support in relieving anxiety/depression and lifting mood. Please note: It raises emotion vibration….. and if you are very depressed, you might need to go through Anger first (ask me about the ladder of emotions) so be aware that this could bring up some frustration. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but you can also use orange for a gentler uplift. I love Sunstone with Bergamot.
