How to do Oil Pulling | Oral Hygiene + Immune Support with Coconut Oil and Thieves Mouthwash
Today you get to see the whole process from start to finish. In this video I share the How and Why behind one of the oldest and most loved natural health routines... OIL PULLING!
Grab your coconut or sesame oil and join me. I'll also show you options of boosting the effectiveness with Essential Oils!
5 Reasons to try Oil Pulling:
Fewer Harmful Bacteria in your Mouth: bad bacteria can contribute to tooth decay, bad breath, and gum disease. In the morning, lots of bacteria has collected in your mouth, making this the perfect time to swish with coconut oil and pull those little guys out of your body.
Fresher Breath: reducing harmful bacteria has a direct effect on how your breath smells. Pretty nice bonus for improving oral hygiene!
Can Reduce chance of Cavities: Plaque buildup on your teeth can lead to cavities. This plaque is comprised of bacteria, saliva and food particles. As the bacteria feed on the food particles, they create an acid that breaks down tooth enamel and leads to decay. So removing bacteria reduces opportunity for creating cavities.
Can Soothe Sore or Sensitive Gums: Another great benefit of coconut oil comes from its anti-inflammatory properties. So if you suffer from swollen or sensitive gum, you may experience some relief after just a few days of oil pulling.
Whiten Teeth: Many sources suggest that oil pulling also whitens teeth, and this has been my personal experience too. Whether it’s simply because of plaque reduction or something more, I was happy to notice a brighter, whiter smile after a few weeks of consistent oil pulling.
You can also add essential oils to your Oil Pulling Routine.
I recommend trying Peppermint, Clove, or Thieves Mouthwash to add even more power to the 5 Reasons we just mentioned.
